Role Overview
We are looking for a Software Development Engineer – III (SDE-2) - Agentic who can build scalable backend systems and AI-powered workflows with an Agentic AI-first mindset.
You will work on systems that go beyond traditional APIs—building intelligent, automated, and decision-driven systems across payments, rewards, and user experiences.
Key Responsibilities
1. Build Scalable Backend Systems
- Design and develop robust, scalable backend services
- Own end-to-end feature development (design → development → deployment)
- Improve system performance, reliability, and observability
2. Build AI-Native / Agentic Systems
- Develop AI-powered workflows and automation systems
- Integrate LLMs for decision making, automation, and intelligent flows
- Build systems using context-aware logic, RAG patterns, and orchestration
3. System Design & Ownership
- Design APIs and services with scalability in mind
- Handle latency, rate limiting, and concurrency challenges
- Debug production issues and drive RCA
4. Data & Intelligence Layer
- Work with SQL/NoSQL databases and caching systems (Redis)
- Exposure to event-driven systems and data pipelines
5. Collaboration
- Work closely with Product, Design, and Data teams
- Translate requirements into scalable solutions
- Mentor junior engineers
Technical Requirements
Core Engineering
- Strong in Data Structures & Algorithms
- Proficiency in Java / Go / Python
- Experience with backend systems and REST APIs
- Understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL)
- Knowledge of distributed systems basics
AI / Agentic Systems
- Experience or strong interest in LLM APIs
- Understanding of prompt engineering and RAG
- Basic knowledge of AI system design
Good to Have
- Experience with Spring Boot, Gin, Django, FastAPI
- Exposure to AWS or cloud platforms
- Knowledge of Kafka or event-driven systems
- Experience with vector databases or AI workflows
